The purpose of creation: the maintenance of protection of legal, social and other common interests of the members, assistance to professional and scientific activity of the specialists whose interests are connected directly or indirectly to usage, exploitation of methods or means of medical information science, statistics and biomedical engineering .

The Association acts on the basis of voluntaryness, equal rights of all members, self-management, lawfulness and openness, and has the branches in the majority of districts of Ukraine and in Kiev.

The structure of Association joined: scientists, doctors, leading specialists of research institutes, higher educational and preventive entities of public health services, firms and corporations who has considerable achievements in the field of medical information science, statistics and biomedical engineering.
